Miedema - It’s all about helping the team

Vivianne Miedema scored her 16th goal of the season against Reading on Sunday, setting a new Women’s Super League record.  There are seven games remaining for the 22-year-old to extend her tally, but personal records aren’t on her mind.  We spoke to the Netherlands International after the final whistle - and this is what she said:  on scoring after two minutes… We needed that. Scoring an early goal makes it easier to get into the game and from there on it was easy to control. We were just so happy that we started strong after the past few games that we’ve had, especially with the injuries that we’ve currently got in the squad.
