Wenger - My tribute to Steven Gerrard
Arsène Wenger has paid tribute to Steven Gerrard ahead of the Liverpool midfielder’s final game at Anfield on Saturday.
The former England captain has made 708 appearances in his 17-year spell at the Merseyside club and is set to join LA Galaxy at the end of this season.
Gerrard has helped his side lift two FA Cups, three League Cups and a Champions League trophy, and Wenger praised him for his contribution to English football ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Crystal Palace.
He is a fantastic player because he has remained loyal to his club for his whole career
