Arsenal Set To Miss Out On Thomas Vermaelen Windfall
It has been revealed that Arsenal are set to miss out on a Champions League windfall from Barcelona. Marca reports Arsenal will miss out on an additional 4m for the sale of Thomas Vermaelen as the defender has not played for Barcelona this season. There was a clause in his contract that Barca would have to pay Arsenal 4m if they won the Champions League. But it would only be activated if Vermaelen featured in a certain number of games.
