It has not been the funnest end to the season for Granit Xhaka. The Arsenal star was amongst the players involved in the Gunners' humiliation in the Europa League final against Chelsea, and then saw a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Portugal take Switzerland apart last Wednesday. The 26-year-old was a peripheral figure for much of the Nations League third-placed play-off against the Three Lions on Sunday, but was one of the men who stuck away their penalty in the shoot-out.
