Africa Cup of Nations: Iwobi stars in Nigeria win
The Africa Cup of Nations continued on Wednesday. Scroll down to find out how our stars got on: Alex Iwobi played 77 minutes as Nigeria beat Guinea in Alexandria to consolidate their place at the top of Group B. Starting at No 10, our Hale End graduate drifted into space well and was a constant threat throughout a tense opening 45 minutes. After racing into the box on two occasions, Iwobi had the opportunity to break the deadlock with a rasping effort from 25 yards but Ibrahim Kone was equal to his effort. The Super Eagles continued to mount the pressure after the break and again our forward was at the heart of things, this time having a top-corner-bound strike tipped just wide by Kone....
