World Cup: Mead assists in quarter-final victory

We had two stars fighting for a place in the World Cup semi-finals on Friday. Read on to find out how they fared. Beth Mead claimed an assist as England beat Norway 3-0 to reach the semi-finals.  Jill Scott opened the scoring with the Lionesses’ fastest-ever goal in Women’s World Cup history, netting after just two minutes and six seconds. Ellen White then joined Scott in the record books, doubling England’s lead to become her country’s all-time top scorer in the competition with six goals.  And then just three minutes after replacing Toni Duggan, Mead got in on the act.
