Match report: Arsenal U-23s 2-4 Manchester City

WHAT HAPPENED Folarin Balogun scored twice as we slipped to a late defeat to a Manchester City side containing Leroy Sane at Emirates Stadium. Pablo Mari, Rob Holding, Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles all played 45 minutes, as they continue to build match sharpness.  We started strongly and took the lead inside two minutes when Trae Coyle pounced on a weak goal kick from Gavin Bazunu to tee up Balogun. Our striker took a touch and fired into the roof of the net. The visitors grew into the match and almost equalised when Jayden Braaf skipped past a challenge, then fired low towards goal, but Matt Macey produced a fine reaction save to deny him.
