Premier League clubs could get clearance to scrap neutral venues plan

The Premier League 's 'Project Restart' plan has received a major boost, with the government reportedly willing to allow all 20 clubs to play their remaining games at their home grounds. The idea of the season resuming at neutral venues has been heavily discussed, with the likes of Brighton, Aston Villa and Watford publicly opposing the idea and others expressing their reservations privately. The government has confirmed that sport will be allowed to resume behind closed doors next month and Premier League chief executive Richard Masters is leading the campaign to get football back up and running.
