Premier League chief Richard Masters quizzed on June return and relegation

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters says league officials are “as confident as we can be” about getting matches back up and running in June, but admits they “have to be flexible”. England’s top flight has been on hold since 13 March, with Leicester ’s 4-0 win over Aston Villa four days earlier the last outing before the league’s suspension. Clubs were finally able to return to training this week, albeit for non-contact social-distancing sessions, giving supporters optimism that a return to action behind closed doors may not be too far away. And Masters has identified mid-June as a “staging post” to resume matches after getting over the first hurdle this week....
