Arsenal are reportedly ramping up efforts to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, with club chiefs seeking talks with his agent. The Brazil international has flopped at the Nou Camp since making a £142million move from Liverpool a couple of years ago. As a result the Spanish champions sent him out on loan to Bayern Munich last summer but they are now eyeing a permanent sale. Coutinho has been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs in recent times, with Manchester United, Chelsea, and even former club Liverpool credited with an interest.
