Mesut Ozil absence explained as Mikel Arteta says star wasn’t ready vs Man City

Mikel Arteta claims Mesut Ozil accepted the decision to be dropped for Arsenal 's defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night. The German wasn’t even named on the bench for the 3-0 defeat at the Etihad Stadium as the Premier League returned to action after a three-month hiatus. Asked why the midfielder was not included in the traveling 20-man Gunners squad after the game, Arteta gave a short answer citing it was due to ‘tactical reasons’.
