In the early days of the Premier League, it was pretty rare that an inexperienced teenager would be thrown into the first team. Since the turn of the century, though, and particularly over the last 10 years, there has been more trust placed in youngsters. Some players who have gone on to be Premier League staples were handed their debuts as fresh-faced 16 year olds. The youngest, in fact, were only a few weeks past 15, which seems extraordinarily young to even be considered for a Premier League game.
