Match report: West Ham 1-9 Arsenal Women

WHAT HAPPENED Jill Roord hit a hat-trick for the second consecutive week on Saturday as we ran riot in a 9-1 win over West Ham. Vivianne Miedema, Kim Little, Beth Mead, Leah Williamson and Caitlin Foord also found the back of the net, meaning we’ve scored 15 goals in our opening two league fixtures. It was a frantic start to the game with both sides threatening on the counter, but with a a moment of class from Miedema to set Katie McCabe free down the left, Roord latched on to a cutback to fire us into an early lead.
