WHAT HAPPENED Our under-23s were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur at London Colney on Saturday. Harry Clarke and Karl Hein made their first appearances of the season, while 17-year-old Catalin Cirjan featured in midfield. The visitors came into this fixture off the back of a 3-0 win over West Ham - and they were full of confidence in the first half, with Karl Hein producing two fine saves to deny Rodel Richards and J’Neil Lloyd-Bennett in quick succession. Tottenham maintained control after the restart too, and soon opened the scoring through Richards, who converted Kazaiah Sterling’s delivery on the hour mark.
