Arsenal make William Saliba loan decision after failing to offload in summer

Arsenal are set to keep William Saliba in their ranks until the January transfer window at least, despite reports linking the defender with a loan move to Brentford. Saliba, 19, completed a £27million move to the Gunners in 2019 before being sent back on loan to St-Etienne for the duration of last season. Yet after suffering a number of injuries before the French football season was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was believed he would be loaned out again by Mikel Arteta and co this term. St-Etienne were keen to secure another loan deal for the centre-back, only for the move to fall through when paperwork was not completed before international transfer deadline passed on...
