Arsene Wenger has wrote about how Robin van Persie asked if he could return to Arsenal following his time at Manchester United. Many Gunners fans were up in arms when the Dutch striker traded the Emirates for Old Trafford in 2012. He guided United to the Premier League title in his first season though struggled following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
