Arteta suggests ‘daily’ reason for Mesut Ozil snub and denies March incident

Mikel Arteta has denied that any single incident prompted Mesut Ozil's axing back in March - insisting it was the Arsenal midfielder's 'daily input' that saw him frozen out. Arteta was quizzed about the midfielder as he faced the media ahead of his side's Europa League opener against Rapid Vienna on Thursday. Ozil had released a statement on social media on Wednesday blasting Arsenal after he was left out of the manager's squads for both the Premier League and Europa League. The snub means the former Germany international will not be eligible to play for Arsenal until January at the earliest.
