WHAT HAPPENED Emile Smith Rowe and Nikolaj Moller both scored twice for our under-23s on Friday as we secured our biggest-ever Premier League 2 victory with a 6-0 win over Blackburn. Academy products Zach Awe, Zane Monlouis and Khayon Edwards all made their respective debuts at The County Ground, while Joe Ideho made his first appearance since joining us from Ajax in the summer. Blackburn, who named 36-year-old Stewart Downing among their substitutes, started strongly and came close early on through Connor McBride.
