Arsenal are set to bid farewell to Mesut Ozil next summer after what will be eight seasons at The Emirates. The German playmaker has no place in Mikel Arteta’s plans, and has virtually no chance of sealing an extension. He was left out of Arsenal’s 25-man squad for the Premier League and Europa League, despite the Gunners’ lack of creativity in midfield. He won’t be the only player departing, however, as Arsenal have five other players who will be out of contract next summer.
