Arsenal have opted not to offer Mitchel Bergkamp a deal at the Emirates. The son of Gunners and Netherlands legend Dennis, 22, underwent a week-long trial with the north Londoners. However, Mitchel - who was released by Almere City in June - failed to make a lasting impression and was thus not offered a deal from his father's former club. Arsenal's decision not to offer Mitchel a contract has ended hopes of the attacking midfielder following in his father's footsteps.
