Nigerian billionaire announces Arsenal takeover plan to 'bring back trophies'

Nigerian billionaire Orji Kalu has expressed his desire to buy a 35 per cent stake in Arsenal and bring silverware back to the north London club. Arsenal have not been able to spend money on the same level as the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United over the past decade, meaning they have still not managed to get their hands on a Premier League title since 2004. Gunners fans have hit out at owner Stan Kroenke in recent years for failing to inject significant transfer funds into the club, although they did spent close to £80million on four new recruits in the previous window.
