Houssem Aouar's thoughts after 'timid' Arsenal transfer pursuit in summer
Houssem Aouar was reportedly left frustrated during the summer after Arsenal failed to stump up the cash to sign him. French midfielder Aouar was strongly linked with a move to the Gunners during the summer transfer window. But a move never came to fruition, with Arsenal choosing to focus on snapping up Thomas Partey instead. Reports from French outlet L’Equipe claim that Aouar was keen to leave Lyon for a bigger European club. But the Gunners were “too timid” in their approach at the time.
