Paul Merson: 'Arsenal look a mid-table Premier League team'

Former Arsenal forward Paul Merson has claimed that the Gunners have the look of a "middle-of-the-table team" as they continue to struggle for consistency this season. Mikel Arteta's side have won four, drawn one and lost four of their nine Premier League matches in 2020-21 to sit down in 12th position in the division. Merson has said that his former side were extremely fortunate to pick up a point against Leeds United last weekend and has also hit out at Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, claiming that the Gabon international, who has only scored two league goals this season, "is bringing absolutely nothing to the party".
