Ex-Arsenal scout explains chasing Belgian starlet who snubbed Liverpool in 2018

Former Arsenal scout Joel Crahay has revealed that the club tried to sign Rennes winger Jeremy Doku during his time at Anderlecht. The 18-year-old was courted by a number of top sides for some time before he made the switch to Ligue 1 over the summer for a reported fee of £23 million. Crahay admitted that the Gunners seriously considered making a move to sign Doku, but the player opted to stay at Anderlecht despite Arsenal's representatives making an effort to try and win over his parents.
