Arsenal Eyeing Bayer Leverkusen Midfielder Lars Bender
It has been reported that Bayer Leverkusen star Lars Bender is on Arsenal's shopping list this summer. The Sun claims that Arsene Wenger has set his sights on Bender as he looks to strengthen Arsenal's defensive midfield options. Bender is regarded as one of the brightest midfielders having impressed following his breakthrough into the Leverkusen first team in 2009 and progressing through the ranks into the German national side. The 26-year-old is reportedly worth £18million and the Gunners could turn to Bender as they look to bolster their options in midfield following the release of injury-plagued Abou Diaby.
