Arsenal equal unwanted losing record with defeat at Aston Villa

Arsenal's 1-0 defeat at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon means that the Gunners have now lost three successive league games against Aston Villa without scoring a goal for the first time since August 1920-March 1922. Ollie Watkins scored the only goal of the contest in just the second minute as Mikel Arteta's side lost a second Premier League game in a row, having also gone down 2-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers on February 2. The defeat has left the London club down in 10th position in the table, nine points off the top four, and it appears that the team also face a fight to finish in the top seven this term.
