Arsenal 'yet to open contract talks with David Luiz'

Arsenal have reportedly yet to negotiate terms over a new contract for defender David Luiz. The Brazilian was handed an extra 12 months on his deal last summer after impressing Gunners boss Mikel Arteta with the impact he had at the club, using his experience to guide some of the younger players in the squad. However, the 33-year-old's current contract expires in June and he is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season. Football Insider reports that Arsenal's squad planning for the summer transfer window is already underway, with several players including Luiz having uncertainties over their futures.
