Carragher slams Aubameyang's "terrible message" to Arsenal stars
Jamie Carragher has slammed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the “terrible message” he is sending to Arsenal’s young stars. The striker has been Mikel Arteta’s captain this season, but has failed to live up to the lucrative contract extension he signed in September 2020. He has scored just nine Premier League goals this term and has recently seen himself substituted off and left off the bench by Arteta due to his poor form. Perhaps the nadir of Aubameyang’s season came when he left out of the starting line-up for Arsenal’s derby against Tottenham due to being late for the side’s scheduled arrival.
