14 Premier League clubs ‘want to punish individuals and avoid points deductions’

The other 14 Premier League clubs believe individuals behind the European Super League project at 'big six' clubs should be punished while avoiding the need for possible fines and points deductions. There has been some debate about the sanctions Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City,Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur must face for their actions, with many hopeful that the Premier League will make an example of the six teams. Premier League Rule L9 says any member club needs prior written approval by the board to enter a new competition, which is believed to have been broken by the rebel clubs wishing to form part of the proposed Super League.
