Daniel Ek ‘to launch £1.8bn bid’ days after Kroenkes’ value of Arsenal emerged

Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek and his consortium will launch a £1.8bn takeover attempt of Arsenal ‘within days’. The Swedish billionaire, worth £3.4bn according to Forbes , expressed his desire on Twitter to buy the club as fans protested against their owners, the Kroenkes, following the European Super League fallout. It has since seen speculation emerged of the 38-year-old putting together an offer with club legends Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira due “within a fortnight”.
