Arsenal’s takeover leader Daniel Ek came up with the Spotify name for his business after mishearing his business partner. The Swedish billionaire, who co-founded the music streaming service in 2002, had been showing his intent at a £1.8bn offer to buy the Gunners from the Kroenkes with a consortium of club legends Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira. And he is funding this with a net worth of £3.4bn from his business, who has grown with Swedish partner Martin Lorentzon.
