Three mistakes Mikel Arteta made as Arsenal lose 2-1 to Unai Emery's Villarreal

Arsenal were beaten 2-1 by Villarreal in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final clash on Thursday evening, with Manu Trigueros, Raul Albiol and Nicolas Pepe getting on the scoresheet. Trigueros put Villarreal ahead after just five minutes when makeshift left-back Granit Xhaka was tested by Samuel Chukwueze. The winger ventured into Arsenal's penalty area and the ball broke to Trigueros, whose powerful strike beat Bernd Leno. Albiol then doubled their lead in the 29th minute from a corner, when the delivery into the box was flicked on by Gerard Moreno and tapped in by the veteran defender. Both teams ended the game with ten men, with Dani Ceballos and Étienne Capoue both sent off...
