Manchester City’s 21-year-old midfielder Phil Foden became the latest winner of the Professional Footballers’ Association Young Player of the Year this season. The Englishman, who is in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2020, lifted a third Premier League title and fourth Carabao Cup of his career. In his fourth senior campaign under Pep Guardiola, the midfielder enjoyed his most prolific season with 16 goals and 10 assists across 50 games. And that was enough to earn the accolade from his fellow footballers, beating Three Lions team-mates Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Mason Greenwood, Mason Mount and Trent Alexander-Arnold to the award.
