Arsenal are edging closer to completing a £50million deal for Brighton defender Ben White after holding face-to-face talks with the player's representatives. Mikel Arteta's side are in the market for a new central defender this summer and quickly turned their attention to the 23-year-old, who featured heavily for Graham Potter's side last campaign. The Gunners saw an opening £40m bid for White rejected one week ago but are understood to have made progress in their pursuit of the England international and are confident of securing his services.
