Arsenal cancel pre-season tour of US as Covid strikes Gunners camp

Arsenal have been forced to cancel their pre-season tour of the United States following an outbreak of Covid-19 in the camp. The Gunners had been due to travel to the US and take on Inter Milan in the semi-final of the Florida Cup on Sunday. The winner of that match was then scheduled to face either Everton or Colombian side Millonarios in the final on July 28. Those plans have now been shelved after a small number of positive Covid-19 cases were confirmed with the Arsenal squad. That is according to The Athletic, who report that all confirmed cases within the team are asymptomatic.
