Tammy Abraham snubs Arsenal as Chelsea star flies to Rome ahead of transfer
Tammy Abraham turned down the opportunity to join Arsenal in favour of Jose Mourinho’sRoma. The 23-year-old is set to complete a £34million move from Chelsea to Serie A, with Goal reporting he has flown out to Italy today to undergo a medical. His deal at the Stadio Olimpico will see him earn £98,000 per week. A buyback option of £68million has also been included, but can only be activated after two seasons. Despite scoring 12 times last season, Abraham is not part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans, with 11 of those goals coming under former manager Frank Lampard.
