Alex Runarsson joins OH Leuven on loan

Alex Runarsson has joined Belgian Pro League side OH Leuven on loan for the 2021/22 season. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who joined us last September from French side Dijon, came through the youth ranks at KR Reykjavik in his home country and moved to Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjaelland in 2014 while still a teenager. The Iceland international made 62 appearances over his four years in Denmark and was named their player of the season in his final campaign there, before signing for Dijon, where he spent two seasons and made 45 appearances.
