Man Utd saved £60m on astute transfers - while Arsenal overpaid by £50m, study shows

Manchester United had the best transfer window of any Premier League side when it comes to paying less for players than their market value suggests they are worth - according to a new study. The Red Devils brought in Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo during a busy summer spree, but ending up paying far less than the overall market valuation. Arsenal were at the other end of this particular table, spending far more than they might've done for the likes of Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Takehiro Tomiyasu among others.
