Bernd Leno facing Germany axe meaning Arsenal exit in January now likely

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno is reportedly in danger of being “ousted” from the German national team after falling down the pecking order this season. The 29-year-old has not started a Premier League match since the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City in August, losing his place to the younger Aaron Ramsdale who was signed this summer from Sheffield United. But while Ramsdale was bought in order to provide competition, not many would have predicted he would displace Arsenal’s first-choice goalkeeper of three years with such haste.
