Ben White has admitted he did not think much of Arsenal as a big club after signing for £50m in the summer. Mikel Arteta had made bolstering his defence a priority after losing David Luiz at the end of last season. It had left the Gunners short at the back while White was a top target throughout the transfer window. The 23-year-old has been tipped for stardom and Arteta has been keen on bringing down the overall squad age with a summer of deals.
