Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has encouraged Arsenal fans to watch clips of wonderkid Charlie Patino on YouTube after tipping him to make a breakthrough this year. Patino has impressed throughout his time in the Gunners’ academy, becoming a regular for the club’s Premier League 2 team over recent seasons. There have been calls for Mikel Arteta to bring the 18-year-old into his first-team group for some time and he duly made his debut in the Carabao Cup win over Sunderland. The youngster scored the Gunners fifth goal in a 10-minute cameo, as well as being named on the bench for the hammering of Norwich City in the Premier League.
