Arsenal chase Douglas Luiz as Aston Villa reject £30m bid from rival club
Arsenal are considering a move for Aston Villa ace Douglas Luiz after missing out on Lyon star Bruno Guimaraes. Guimaraes had been linked with a switch to both Arsenal and Newcastle during the January transfer window. But the Magpies have now emerged as the favourites for the Brazilian's signature. Reports on Thursday suggested the 24-year-old was set to undergo a medical at St. James' Park ahead of a move. Should Newcastle complete the deal, Arsenal will turn their attention to Villa midfielder Luiz.
