Arsenal fans hail Nuno Tavares "funniest player ever" after ill-fated slide vs Man Utd

Arsenal supporters have hailed Nuno Tavares as the 'funniest player ever' after he almost ruined his opening goal against Manchester United with a disastrous knee slide on the Emirates turf. The Portuguese defender, who signed from Benfica last summer, scored his first goal for the club following some abysmal United defending and looked to lap up the applause of the Emirates crowd. Running towards the corner of the flag, the 22-year-old decided to jump onto his knees but the surface might not have been as moist as he expected - sending him flying onto his back to the amusement of both his team-mates and fans.
