Wenger confirms Arteta contract extension
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that club captain Mikel Arteta will stay at the Emirates for one more year. Reports have circulated for the best part of the year that the Spaniard would extend his contract so the news doesn’t come as much of a surprise. It is welcome nonetheless, particularly given the experience the 33-year-old brings to the squad.
