Arsenal star's injury confuses Wenger
Danny Welbeck has been sidelined with a knee injury since April, and is still weeks away from a return (via The Guardian). Arsene Wenger admits that the injury has left him confused, and that he doesn't know why the England international has taken so long to return. 'It is much slower than expected,' Wenger said. 'It was a bone bruising at the start. You think that it will be quite quick. He is an important player for us and the fact that he is not available is a bit of a concern.' Wenger insists that sophisticated modern medicine baffles him, and that he leaves everything up to his medical staff. He asked if Welbeck would need surgery to fix the problem, but was assured that he would not....
