Arsenal Scout McDermott Not Expecting Arsene Wenger To Buy In January
It has been reported that Arsenal scout Brian McDermott doesn't expect manager Arsene Wenger to buy in January. Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in Edinson Cavani, Gonzalo Higuain, Anthony Modeste and Hakan Calhanoglu in recent weeks. But McDermott insists Arsenal fans shouldn't get their hopes up about signing any big names this winter. 'Generally it's a good squad. He signed a fantastic goalkeeper,' he told Sky Sports. 'The manager won't spend unless he thinks it's absolutely necessary. 'The scouting structure at Arsenal is phenomenal. 'We all know who the top strikers in the world are. Can you get them to come? They won't be available in January that's an absolute certainty.'
