Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has claimed Diego Costa mentally dominated Arsenal’s defence during their 1-0 win over Arsenal. The Spain striker’s first-half goal was all it took for the Blues to run out winners at the Emirates, who were playing against ten men for most of the game after Per Mertesacker was sent off. German defender Mertesacker took down Costa with just 18 minutes gone and was deemed the last man, and Ivanovic believes his 27-year-old team-mate was key to Chelsea’s victory.
