Arsenal scouting Portuguese midfielder ahead of summer transfer
The transfer rumour mill is now in full swing, with Sporting Lisbon's Joao Mario the latest player being linked with a move to Arsenal, as reported by TMW. Mario has been attracting attention from several clubs following an excellent season, scoring five goals and assisting nine times in 29 appearances. The 23-year-old has apparently been scouted by Arsenal ahead of a potential summer transfer, although Sporting are likely to be keen to hold onto him. The Portuguese international is currently under contract until 2020, so he's unlikely to come cheap if we do pursue him.
