Wenger's penny pinching jeopardising Xhaka to Arsenal deal, says Bild
Follow the author on Twitter: @Attlee Numerous reports have suggested that Granit Xhaka to Arsenal is almost a done deal (via Goal), but rumours from Germany now suggest the two teams are further apart than originally thought, according to Bild. Borussia Monchengladbach are apparently looking for round about the 40m mark, while Arsene Wenger is looking to drive the price down with an initial 25m bid. While the volume of reports surrounding Xhaka to Arsenal suggest a deal really is close, it wouldn't be at all surprising if Arsene Wenger really were penny pinching and looking to drive the price down.
