Arsenal not looking to loan out Per Mertesacker - source

Arsenal are not looking to send captain Per Mertesacker out on loan in January despite his limited opportunities for playing time, a club source has told N FC. Mertesacker, 32, is nearing a return from a knee injury that has kept him out for the entire season so far and has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal since being handed the captain's armband last summer.
